Built by people who race.

DB Apparel Co is the custom apparel arm of Demon Bikini - a woman-led, American-made brand that started in 2020 and has spent every season since at the water's edge.

A swimwear brand
that ended up racing.

Demon Bikini was founded in 2020 by Leanna Shadlow - handmade swimwear, made in America, built on the idea that every woman deserves to feel incredible in her own skin. Before launching Demon Bikini, Leanna spent more than a decade in the automotive collision industry - a fast-paced, detail-driven world where quality, deadlines and getting things right the first time mattered. Those same standards followed her into business, apparel and eventually offshore racing.

Then came the racing itself. Offshore powerboat, as the only female driver in her class, competing against people who had been doing it for years.

Racing is where the apparel side began. Once you're in a pit lane every weekend you learn quickly what team gear is supposed to do, and how often it falls short - sponsor logos squeezed into a rectangle, prints cracking by mid-season, half the crew in the wrong shade because the reorder never matched.

Different job,
same standards.

Demon Bikini kept growing past swimwear - into athletic wear, board shorts, and custom sublimated pieces like race jerseys, shirts and hoodies. Custom team apparel turned out to be a genuinely different business from selling swimwear: different questions, different timelines, a proof stage in the middle, and customers who are ordering for twenty people rather than themselves.

So it got its own name and its own front door. DB Apparel Co handles the custom work properly rather than as a sideline on a swimwear site - but it is the same people, the same standards, and the same unwillingness to send out something we wouldn't wear ourselves.

Five things we
won't budge on.

01

Nothing prints unapproved

A sublimated garment can't be undone. Once it's pressed, the design is in the fabric permanently - so you see a proof and sign off on it first, every time.

02

We'll tell you if we're not the right fit

Sublimation isn't right for every job. If what you actually need is a single-color logo on cotton tees, we'll say so instead of selling you what we happen to make.

03

Sponsors get reproduced properly

Someone paid to be on that jersey. Their logo should be the right color, the right proportions and the right size - not stretched to fill a gap. If a brand guideline exists, we'll follow it.

04

Nothing leaves the country

Design and manufacturing both happen in the USA, under our own roof. No stage of it gets handed to an overseas factory, which is why we can put a proof in front of you quickly and fix things without a month of back and forth.

05

A person reads your request

Not a form-bot and not a template reply. Team orders have too many variables for anything else, and the details that matter are usually the ones a form never thought to ask about.

The part that isn't
about selling anything.

Demon Bikini has shown up for its community since the first year - partnering with charity initiatives raising funds for women and families, and showing up in person at races, events and meetups rather than only existing online.

That carries over here. A lot of the teams and crews we make gear for are running on volunteers, favors and whatever the season's budget allows. We know what that's like, because we're one of them.

  • Woman-led since 2020. Founded, designed and run by Leanna Shadlow.
  • American-made roots. Demon Bikini swimwear is cut and sewn by hand in the USA.
  • Actually at the events. Racing, meeting customers in person, seeing the gear in use.
  • To be confirmed Current charity partners - name them here if you want them credited.
